2. The contract

Your order is an offer to buy. The contract begins when I send you an order confirmation by email. If I cannot fulfil an order — a mistake in the listing, or a limited edition that has just sold out — I will tell you and refund you in full, and neither of us owes the other anything further.

3. Prices

Prices are in pounds sterling and include no VAT , as I am not currently VAT registered. Postage is shown before you pay and is never added afterwards.

If a print is listed at an obviously wrong price — a decimal point in the wrong place — I am not obliged to sell at it. I will contact you and you can confirm at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

4. Making and sending your print

Every print is made to order: printed by me on archival fine art paper, signed by hand in pencil, left to dry properly, then rolled in a rigid tube and posted with tracking. Please allow up to 10 working days before it is posted. It is usually quicker, but each print is made individually and I would rather take the time than rush one.

Delivery estimates are estimates. Once a parcel is with the carrier its timing is not something I control, though I will always help chase it.

5. Limited editions

Where a print is sold as a limited edition, the stated edition size is a permanent promise. Once that many have sold I will not print that image at that size again. Editions are counted per size — an A2 edition of 25 does not restrict A3 open prints of the same photograph.

Edition prints are signed, numbered, and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.

6. Cancellation and returns

You may cancel within 14 days of delivery, for any reason. The full terms are on the shipping & returns page and form part of these terms.

7. Copyright

Buying a print does not buy the photograph. I retain the copyright in every image, and buying a print gives you the right to own, display and enjoy that physical print — including reselling or gifting the print itself.

It does not give you the right to:

• reproduce, scan or photograph the image for publication or resale
• use it commercially, including on a website, in print, or in any product
• make further copies in any medium

If you want to use an image for something, ask — licensing is work I am glad to do, and it is usually simpler and cheaper than people expect.

8. Colour and materials

Screens vary and no print will match a backlit display exactly. Paper stocks are occasionally discontinued by their manufacturers; where that happens I substitute the closest equivalent and would tell you if it materially changed the print.

9. If something goes wrong

Tell me. Almost everything is fixable and I would rather fix it than have you unhappy. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and nothing excludes liability for death, personal injury or fraud.

Otherwise, my liability is limited to the amount you paid for the order.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in its courts. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
