Telegraph Features the International Aerial Photographer of the Year 2026

The Telegraph featured a selection of photographs from the 2026 International Aerial Photographer of the Year, which included my photograph "The Fallen One".

Published 7 July 2026

The Fallen One showcases a fallen tree in a remote Scottish loch, covered in thick winter hoar frost. Thanks to the Telegraph for featuring my photograph.

At first glance, this tree looks to be standing on a hilltop, covered in hoar frost, backed by a beautiful deep blue sky. However, on further inspection it becomes clear it has fallen onto it's side into a remote Scottish Loch. This was captured in the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland, on a bitterly cold winters morning, in December 2025. Whilst it was well below freezing, the water had not frozen as it was the first day of this cold spell.
