Dwarfed

South Downs · Summer

Beachy Head lighthouse stands isolated at the base of the chalk cliffs, dwarfed by the headland's sweeping face. Shot from a high lateral vantage, the image pits the geometry of eroded chalk strata against the flat blue of the English Channel. The midday light is clean but harsh, flattening shadow detail across the cliff face.
