Before Memory

Fanal Forest · Spring

Crepuscular rays break through morning mist in the ancient laurel forest of Fanal, Madeira. The gnarled trunk of a centuries-old til tree anchors the frame as diffused light fans outward through layered fog, revealing the sculptural root systems and moss-covered ground beneath the canopy. The wide panoramic crop deepens the sense of depth and primordial stillness.
