Leaning Through the Ferns

Spring

Twisted, lichen-draped trees emerge from a dense understorey of ferns in morning fog. The pale trunks lean and arch across the frame, their forms softened by diffuse mist that erases depth toward the background. The lush, evergreen understorey and tree habit are consistent with laurisilva or similar Atlantic island cloud forest.
