Low Among the Moss

Fanal Forest · Spring

Crepuscular rays break through morning mist in a laurisilva forest, illuminating the contorted, moss-draped limbs of an ancient laurel. The low angle places the viewer within the canopy architecture, the path drawing the eye toward a luminous, fog-softened interior. Captured at first light, when brief atmospheric conditions transform the forest into something close to elemental.
