Watercolour, April

The Chilterns · Spring

Native bluebells backlit by low spring dawn light, the shallow depth of field dissolving the surrounding woodland floor into violet and chartreuse. A single arching stem holds sharp against the soft luminescence behind, while motion or lens rendering blurs the colony into something close to watercolour. The palette and timing speak clearly to a British broadleaf wood in peak April flowering.
