Afterglow Before the Sun

Brightwell Barrow · Spring

A small copse crowns Brightwell Barrow, a chalk hill near the Wittenham Clumps in Oxfordshire, as pre-dawn afterglow bleeds from orange through violet above mist-pooled valleys. Layered fog fills the middle distance, reducing receding ridges to soft tonal bands and isolating the trees as a single dark focal point against the luminous horizon. The panoramic frame amplifies the stillness of the moment between night and morning.
