Brightwell Barrow & Wittenham Clumps

Rising east of the Wittenham Clumps, is the isolated Brightwell Barrow. It stands as a landmark in the Oxfordshire flatlands, seen by thousands every day between Reading and Oxford. This collection explores the prehistoric Bronze Age site through changing seasons, capturing first light, low winter fog, and open skies that echo the timeless geometry of the Thames Valley.

Brightwell Barrow (as viewed from Wittenham Clumps) is one of my favourite places to shoot both with my camera and drone - the uninterrupted views over the landscape, the River Thames meandering past, and the lone trees on the barrow reward revisits.
